Who We Want

As we continue to grow our customer base and expand our reach, we are seeking an Area Sales Representative who believes they are a true Sales Hunter. They are self-motivated and consistently

exceed all revenue and activity goals. Our ideal Area Sales Representative maintains a healthy pipeline of new opportunities while maintaining and growing revenue with existing clients. They

welcome the challenge of finding water utilities with tank maintenance needs that align with our existing and planned services and turning these interactions into deep, lasting relationships

and strategic partnerships.

 

What You’ll Do

As an Area Sales Representative, you will be responsible for finding and developing new client relationships to whom we sell directly to water tank owners in Tennessee who are looking for asset management services or short-term negotiated tank maintenance while accurately and consistently adhering to Southern Corrosion’s pricing strategy and methodology. You will also be responsible for maintaining existing relationships with customers in Tennessee to ensure the renewal of recurring annual maintenance contracts. You will collaborate with other team members in developing the right solution for each customer, and then successfully hand off the project for implementation once the sale is closed. By embracing our core values, you will maintain a high level of integrity pertaining to all interactions with coworkers, customers and strategic partners. You will also engage with our Quality Assurance team to ensure customer satisfaction is achieved throughout all phases of projects. As a valued team member, you will also be involved in company-wide branding and marketing efforts that support the holistic goals of the company. You will maintain a high level of personal accountability by keeping our CRM and other databases updated and providing recurrent updates to our management team.

Qualifications

Required:

  • 3+ years of successful outside B2B sales experience or relevant water utility and local government procurement experience
  • High School diploma.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint,

Google Drive, Google Photos and Gmail

  • Excellent hunting/prospecting skills
  • Excellent closing skills
  • Willingness and ability to travel 25% to 50% of the time including overnight

Preferred:

  • 5+ years of successful B2B sales experience or relevant water utility and local government procurement experience
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business, Engineering or other related fields.
  • Comprehensive existing knowledge of the water industry.
  • Ability to climb a water tower and gather required information.
  • AMPP or NACE Inspector or SSPC Coating Specialist designations.
  • Public Speaking – the ability to present at seminars and trade shows.
