The City of New Johnsonville is seeking applications and/or resumes for the full-time position of Certified Water Treatment Plant Grade III Supervisor. This employee will supervise the other operators and assign tasks for the operation and maintenance of the city’s water treatment plant.
Duties and responsibilities include:
- Operating & Maintaining water treatment plant & lab equipment
- Monitoring plant operations and making necessary adjustments
- Performing all necessary laboratory tests on water samples
- Ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations
- Work directly with the State of TN to keep the water system in compliance
- Maintaining records and reporting data
- Working in a team environment and following safety protocols
- Must be able to lift 50lbs +/-
- Work is generally routine and is accomplished in accordance with established policies, procedures and practices
- Needs to be self-motivated due to needing to make decisions during emergency situations
This Certified Water Treatment Plant Supervisor schedule is generally days and may involve overtime which could include weekends, holidays and on-call.
