This is administrative, supervisory, and technical work directing the work of staff members engaged in a variety of activities related to water/wastewater systems, public works functions, and customer service. The work is performed under the general supervision of the Local Manager.
Work Schedule and Hours for the Distribution/Collections Superintendent is Monday through Friday from 7am to 3:30pm. The pay range is a competitive wage based on licensing and experience.
Requirements include:
KY Water Distribution Class 2 Certification
KY Wastewater Collection Class 2
Graduation from high school and at least three years of progressively responsible experience in the maintenance and repair of water distribution systems, including three years of supervisory experience, or any combination of education and experience that provides the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:
- Knowledge of proper and effective practices, methods, and procedures related to water plants, wells, distribution system maintenance, and construction.
- Knowledge of state and federal standards and regulations governing water plants and systems.
- Knowledge of basic principles of mechanical and hydraulic theory.
- Knowledge of safety standards and precautions pertaining to the use and operation of motorized equipment and hand/power tools.
Preferred Qualifications: management experience, to be mechanically inclined, SCADA knowledge
