WaterISAC Training Opportunities for Systems Serving Populations 3,300 or Fewer
National Rural Water Association (NRWA) through its collaboration with Water Information Sharing and Analysis Center (WaterISAC)is excited to promote two upcoming training opportunities for water and wastewater utilities serving populations of 3,300 or fewer.
On February 21, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. ET, WaterISAC will convene the next event in its quarterly Water Sector Natural Disaster Threat Briefings series. The focus of this briefing will be crisis communications and community engagement, and WaterISAC will welcome briefers from the Northeast Ohio Regional Sewer District who will offer best practices, lessons learned, and other useful tips. On February 28, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. ET, during a combined Water Sector Cyber-Physical Resilience Briefing, speakers from the FBI will discuss nation-state threats to critical infrastructure in both the cyber and physical domains. Speakers will discuss past cases of foreign compromise of U.S. critical infrastructure systems, lessons learned, recommendations for preventing compromise from an adversarial nation-state, and other useful tips. The speakers will also highlight Hybrid Commercial Threat activity and insider threats emanating from both the physical and cyber domains.
