Metro Water Services (MWS) is excited to offer this opportunity for a leader to serve as System Services Assistant Director within the Department of Water Services. System Services is responsible for the repair and maintenance of the MWS’ water distribution and sewer collection system. This includes routine and preventive maintenance of water and sewer lines, valves and fire hydrants, responding to emergency water line breaks and sewer backups, and working with other divisions within MWS to improve service to customers.
The Assistant Director reports to the Director of Water Services and works under broad administrative guidance, with latitude for making decisions on all daily operations. This position’s direct reports are two Water Services Assistant Managers, one Administrative Services Manager, an Engineer 3 – Sewer Maintenance Manager, an Engineer 3 – Water Maintenance Manager, and an Engineer 3 – Data Resources Manager.
The System Services Assistant Director oversees the division’s operating budget, which is in excess of $30 million, and approximately 176 FTE’s.
