The Anderson County Water Authority (“ACWA”) located in beautiful East Tennessee is seeking qualified candidates for the position of General Manager. The General Manager provides chief executive leadership for the utility and reports directly to ACWA’s five-member board of commissioners. ABOUT ACWA
ACWA is a water and wastewater utility service provider owned by the citizens of Anderson County, TN, serving over 10,300 water and 1,100 wastewater customers. ACWA maintains over 630 miles of line with system assets in excess of $30 million. The water authority operates two (2) water treatment plants, one (1) wastewater treatment plant, thirteen (13) water storage reservoirs, and pumps raw water from the pristine Clinch River below Norris Dam. The utility’s service area is situated in the foothills of the picturesque Cumberland Mountains near Norris Lake, just 20 miles from Knoxville, and includes the unincorporated areas of Anderson County as well as portions of neighboring Union and Campbell Counties. The area abounds in outdoor recreational opportunities including boating, fishing, miles of ATV facilities and trails, and hiking with access to several Tennessee State Parks.
