White House Utility District is hiring Water Treatment Plant Operators. This position is responsible for operating a Grade IV Water Treatment Plant in compliance with all District and regulatory standards. Work must produce results that maintain operational functionality and meet compliance mandates without incident.
The water treatment plant is operated and staffed 24-hours a day, 365 days a year. Plant Operators are required to work a 12-hour rotating shift and be available for both day and night shift, including holidays.
The ideal candidate must be able to effectively respond to rapidly changing conditions, while maintaining perspective and a strict focus on quality.
Some daily responsibilities include:
- Monitor SCADA to anticipate and respond to operational events
- Perform all water quality tests on treatment processes
- Provide after-hours support to customers who are experiencing a water emergency
To qualify, a candidate must have a high school diploma and valid driver’s license.
Training is provided to obtain a TN Grade IV Water Treatment Plant Operator license. Wages will be negotiated based on prior experience, applicable certifications and licenses and other credentials.
