Lewisburg Water and Wastewater is accepting applications for Department Engineer, reporting directly to the General Manager. An engineering or engineering technology degree is REQUIRED. A professional engineering license for Tennessee is a bonus. A class IV Water Certification from the State of Tennessee is also a bonus.  Experience in the water industry is a bonus.

Duties include, but are not limited to, reviewing, and tracking of all plans and survey plats submitted for water and sewer availability. Tracking multimillion dollar projects as they progress.  Interfacing with engineering companies contracted to work with Lewisburg Water. Ensuring that state and federal regulations are followed in the treatment of drinking water. Some supervision of office personnel.  The applicant will help prepare and follow up on annual budgets. Also supervise and follow through with bids in accordance with state law. The ability to use a computer with Word and Excel is required.

The applicant must be able to pass a background check, financial review, and a drug test. Must be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds; possess mobility and agility to frequently climb steps, stoop and/or crouch.

Pay is proportionate to the applicant’s skills and job knowledge. Applications may be picked up at the Lewisburg Water and Wastewater Administrative Office located at 100 Water St., Monday thru Friday during regular business hours, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm.
