On June 2, 2023, the National Rural Water Association (NRWA) announced that a $1.185 billion settlement has been reached against manufacturers of PFAS, including DuPont, Chemours, and Corteva. The details and next steps regarding the settlement have not been released yet. If your utility has already signed up for the NRWA PFAS Cost Recovery Program, the law firm representing NRWA, Napoli Shkolnik PLLC, will be in contact with the utility with next steps in the future.
The trial against the remaining manufacturers, including 3M, begins today. If your utility has not signed up for the NRWA PFAS Cost Recovery Program, it can still do so by contacting Napoli Shkolnik PLLC.
